JM-NU: Jurnal Studi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam

General Standards

JM-NU: Jurnal Studi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam accepts original scholarly articles related to Islamic Educational Management. Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English and should be prepared according to the following guidelines. All submitted articles must be unpublished and not under review elsewhere.

Language Editing

Manuscripts should meet academic standards in grammar, clarity, and readability. Authors whose manuscripts are written in English may consider using professional editing services prior to submission. Note that using editing services does not guarantee acceptance for publication.

JM-NU accepts both British and American English, but consistency must be maintained throughout the manuscript. Authors writing in Bahasa Indonesia must ensure EYD (Ejaan yang Disempurnakan) is properly applied.

SEO Optimization Tips

To increase article visibility and discoverability:

  • Include 2–3 keywords in the title
  • Keep the title concise
  • Use keywords in the abstract’s first sentences
  • Repeat important terms in headings and subheadings
  • Use 3–5 specific and relevant keywords

Manuscript Format

  • Length: 5,000 – 7,000 words
  • Spacing:15 spacing throughout
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Referencing Style: APA 6th Edition (Use Mendeley or Zotero)

Title

  • Use Title Case
  • Left-aligned
  • Concise and representative of the core content
  • No abbreviations or overly general/poetic titles

Author Names and Affiliations

  • List all authors with their full names
  • Affiliation: Institution, Country
  • Indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk () and provide a valid email
    Example:
    Ahmad Fauzi¹, Siti Rohmah²

    ¹STAI Darussalam Nganjuk, Indonesia
    ²Universitas Islam Negeri Malang, Indonesia
    *Corresponding author: sitirohmah@uin-malang.ac.id_

Structure of the Manuscript

The manuscript should be organized in the following sections (no sub-subsections unless necessary):

1. Abstract (in English)

  • 250 words
  • Covers: background, purpose, method, findings, conclusion
  • No citations or abbreviations
  • Followed by 3–5 keywords

2. Introduction

  • Background of the study
  • Statement of the problem and objectives
  • Significance and novelty of the research
  • Review of relevant literature
  • Clear research gap or problem formulation

3. Method

  • Research type and approach
  • Population, sample, and sampling technique
  • Data collection instruments
  • Data analysis technique
  • Ethical considerations (if applicable)

4. Results and Discussion

  • Present results clearly using tables or figures if needed
  • Interpret findings in the context of existing literature
  • Highlight implications, limitations, or surprising results

5. Conclusion

  • Summarize the key findings
  • Emphasize contributions and relevance
  • Suggest future research directions
  • Avoid simply restating the abstract

Acknowledgements

(Optional) Mention funding sources, institutional support, or individuals who contributed but do not qualify for authorship.

References

  • Use only sources cited in the text
  • Include DOI or URLs for online references when available
  • Follow APA 6th Edition referencing format

  • Must be original and properly labeled
  • Use high-resolution (min. 300 dpi)
  • Mention all figures/tables in the text
  • Captions for tables above, for figures below

Supplementary Material

Authors may upload supplementary files (raw data, video, datasets) during submission. These files will be published along with the article if deemed relevant.
