Pendampingan Santri TPQ Al-Muttaqin: Upaya Meningkatkan Mutu Keterampilan Keagamaan melalui Pelatihan Menulis Aksara Arab di Dusun Jati, Desa Jatirejo Kecamatan Rejoso

The Islamic Education Center (TPQ) plays a vital role in providing Islamic religious education and character building for children. However, at Al-Muttaqin TPQ in Jatirejo, a problem was found regarding the lack of santri skills in writing Arabic script. This study aims to improve santri's skills in writing Arabic script through training that uses service-learning methods and an Asset-based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The service-learning method integrates students' academic activities with community needs, while the ABCD approach empowers the community by identifying and utilizing the assets they have. This activity involved 27 santri in the jilid class and 13 santri in the Al-Qur'an class, as well as the head of the TPQ. The results of this activity showed an increase in the ability to write Arabic script by 45% based on pre-test and post-test scores. In addition, qualitatively, participants felt very grateful and grateful for this program because they felt that there was additional knowledge and new experiences that were very useful.
