Abstract

Like many other Madrasas in the Nganjuk area, the curriculum of Madrasa Ulul Hakim Rejoso solely concentrates on Qur'an recitation. However, other essential Islamic subjects, such as basic Jurisprudence, short Hadiths, or learning to write Pegon Arabic, are not included in the syllabus. After reviewing documents, observations, interviews and discussions with Madin Ulul Hakim, the STAI Darussalam Community Service team decided to offer help. They aim to create a new curriculum for Madin Ulul Hakim that focuses on preserving the culture of the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School. The curriculum includes material that will help in mastering Pegon Arabic reading and writing while adhering to proper rules. The approach used is Asset-based-Community Development or ABCD. The method used is service learning. The results and achievements obtained from this mentoring program can be seen through two achievements, namely the improvement of abilities in each participant based on the results of testimonials and practical tests and can also be seen in the results of the pree test and Post Test assessments conducted before and after training.
