This community service research aims to strengthen the Islamic literacy of students at the Ar-Rosyid Islamic Boarding School (TPQ) through the application of the Pegon Rapid Reading and Writing method in their learning of the yellow books. The activity was carried out through intensive training, mentoring in reading Arabic-Pegon texts, and evaluating the students' ability to understand the basic material of classical books. The method used in this service was Service Learning with a Needs Assessment, Program Development, Coordination, and Implementation scenario. The results of the program implementation showed a significant increase in literacy skills, namely 10.44 points, or approximately 13.39%. Quantitatively, the improvement was evident in the students' ability to read Pegon texts and explain the meaning of basic understanding more precisely. Qualitatively, there was a rise in learning motivation, self-confidence, and a stronger culture of reading the yellow books. This program demonstrates that the Pegon Rapid Reading and Writing method is relevant for improving early literacy skills in the yellow books of beginner students, while also contributing to strengthening the tradition of Islamic boarding school scholarship in the surrounding community.
