Abstract

In the context of Islamic education, the role of students' personalities becomes a crucial factor in shaping how they learn and develop holistically. In an effort to optimize learning, the implementation of reward and punishment methods becomes relevant, which not only reflects religious values but also takes into account students' characteristics. Introverted personalities tend to have more respect for punishment and require a gentler approach, while extroverts respond more positively to rewards that can enhance their motivation. Within this framework, this research aims to analyze the impact of applying reward and punishment to introverted and extroverted students in Islamic education. The background involves differences in students' responses to these methods, which are relevant in shaping a more inclusive learning approach. The goal is to understand how both methods influence the academic and spiritual development of students based on their personality types. The research method used is a literature study, where relevant literature on personality, Islamic education, as well as reward and punishment, will be analyzed. The results of this study will provide a deeper insight into effective ways to apply these methods to introverted and extroverted students in the context of Islamic education, with a thorough consideration of their characteristics.
