Penggunaan Mailing Marge Untuk Administrasi Pendidikan
Abstract
The rapid development of technology in the era of Industry 4.0 has significantly impacted human life, including the field of education. Technology has made various school activities, both in learning and administration, much easier. One of the areas where technology has been beneficial is in processing grades, writing reports, and exam scorecards. With the use of technology, it only takes one to two hours to process and write a report. This research employs a qualitative approach, specifically a case study. The monitoring of report and exam scorecard creation utilizes Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Office Word. The reports are generated from students' grades compiled by each homeroom teacher at SMPN 2 Kepung Kediri. The main tool used is the Mailings tab in Microsoft Word, which consists of five groups: Create Group, Start Mail Merge, Write & Insert Fields, Preview Results, and Finish Group. To create reports and scorecards with different recipients and information, users only need two files: the report as the main document and a data source containing the recipient's information. Users simply write the report and format the scorecard, then add columns from the generated data source. The Mailings menu has proven to be highly effective and efficient in supporting the creation of reports with multiple recipients. Based on these findings, the majority of teachers at SMPN 2 Kepung Kediri apply the mailing merge function when entering student grades in Microsoft Word.
