Reorientasi Pengembangan Kurikulum Dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan
Abstract
Education is a fundamental aspect that involves three important paradigms in the philosophy of education. Ontologically, education is a human necessity; epistemologically, it serves as a source of enlightenment; and axiologically, it functions to develop skills for sustaining life and livelihood. The rapid development of science and technology on a global scale has brought significant changes in various fields, including education, curriculum, and learning. Therefore, education needs to anticipate these changes and create human resources capable of global competition. The curriculum plays a crucial role in achieving educational goals and improving overall educational quality. As a learning plan, the curriculum provides guidance on the types, scope, sequence of content, and educational processes to be implemented. Each component in the curriculum, including goals, content, and the teaching-learning process, is closely interconnected and involves the crucial roles of students and teachers. Thus, proper alignment among goals, content, and the teaching-learning process becomes the key to achieving relevant and effective learning outcomes for each individual student.
