Abstract

This study discusses women's issues in the Muslim women's and young women's communities in Trayang Village, Ngronggot District.The dynamics of modern life bring their own challenges for women, and Muslim women and young women in Trayang Village are no exception Trayang. On the one hand, they are required to be active in society, but on theother hand, a comprehensive understanding of specific women's issues,particularly those related to fiqh thaharah (purification), is often not optimal. Therefore, there is a need for massive education related to thisissue. The methodused in this program is Service Learning, in which the Research Team provides guidance to community members to enableknowledge sharing. Meanwhile, the implementation of this activity uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The basic elements of the community empowerment process are: participation and social mobilization.Due to weak education, economy, and other deficiencies, the community in general cannot be expected to organize themselves without external assistance. The most essential elements of this social participation and mobilization are building participation and social mobilization. The most essential aspect of participation and social mobilization is building awareness of the importance of becoming agents of social change.The first result of this program implementation research is the high participation of participants in the program activities. Second, the enthusiasm of the Muslimat and Fatayat mothers in participating in the question and answer session on the women's issues they experience. Third, their enthusiasm to gain knowledge/understanding of Fiqh Kewanitaan (Islamic jurisprudence on women's issues), especially regarding thoharoh (purification) after menstruation, postpartum bleeding, and so on.
