Abstract

Of the many things left by the Dutch in Indonesia, one of the important things to study is the change in the Islamic education system in Indonesia. In fulfilling its ambition to control the archipelago, the Dutch government implemented several policies. especially those related to Islamic education including; Ethical politics, association politics and teacher ordinances and wild school ordinances. And Islamic education at that time was a victim created by the results of policies issued by the Dutch. to discuss Dutch public policies that were implemented during the colonial period in Indonesia by way of literature study through literature recorded in the history of education in Indonesia
