Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Arabic language learning program held at the SMAS Islam Sunan Gunung Jati, with a focus on implementation management and the problems faced. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The collecting data through participant observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis used interactive qualitative analysis technique which consists of data condentation, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that the Arabic language curriculum planning was implemented through an integrated curriculum meeting mechanism and produced an integrated curriculum map document that integrates the independent curriculum with Islamic boarding school science. The curriculum organization uses five organizational components such as TPKBA, competency-based grouping, material structure, extracurricular programs, and coordination mechanisms that form an institutional infrastructure that supports the implementation of an integrated curriculum that is interconnected with each other. The curriculum implementation combined intracurricular learning based on eclectic methods with extracurricular learning with an amsilati program that covers physical, social, and cultural dimensions, thus becoming an accelerative factor. The curriculum evaluation was done through daily learning evaluations, daily written tests, mid-semester assessments, and final semester assessments, resulting in measurable and significant achievements.
