Abstract

The widespread phenomenon of popular culture among Muslim female adolescents poses a serious challenge to the process of internalizing Islamic values and the formation of religious character. This study aims to identify and synthesize effective strategies for the internalization of Islamic values for female students exposed to popular culture, emphasizing the relevance of Islamic education approaches in a contemporary context. The research method used is a narrative review based on a literature study, with data sources in the form of primary and secondary scientific literature selected systematically based on the criteria of relevance, timeliness, and academic quality. Data analysis was carried out through narrative synthesis techniques and thematic classification of the main findings from various sources. The results show that adaptive strategies for internalizing Islamic values include interactive learning approaches, the use of contextual case studies, the implementation of religious extracurricular activities, the provision of online religious materials, and personal development through individual guidance. The main obstacles identified are the plurality of students' backgrounds and the strong influence of digital popular culture, which demands innovation in value internalization strategies that are responsive to the dynamics of the times. This article contributes to enriching the literature on Islamic education by offering a conceptual framework and a mapping of value internalization strategies relevant to building the Islamic character of Muslim female adolescents in the digital era, as well as providing practical recommendations for the development of value education policies in schools, families, and communities.
