Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has brought significant changes to the labor market, requiring vocational education to adapt to the demands of technology-driven industries. This article aims to analyze business unit strategies in developing vocational education in the era of Industry 4.0. This study employs a library research method by reviewing literature related to business unit strategies, vocational education, and the challenges of the digital era. The findings indicate that business unit strategies can support vocational education through service diversification, technology integration, and close collaboration with industries. These strategies can also enhance curriculum relevance, operational efficiency, and learning innovation. However, challenges such as technological infrastructure limitations, resistance to change, and substantial investment requirements in digitalization remain. This article recommends a model of business unit strategies based on innovation, digitalization, and partnerships as a solution to improve the quality of vocational education. The findings of this study are expected to make a significant contribution to vocational education institutions in designing effective, relevant, and adaptive strategies to technological advancements in the era of Industry 4.0.
