KOMUNIKASI BAHASA CINTA GARY CHAPMAN PERSPEKTIF HUKUM KELUARGA ISLAM:STRATEGI MEMBANGUN RUMAH TANGGA HARMONIS

Abstract

Communication is an important foundation in building a harmonious household. One approach that can be used to strengthen a couple's communication is the Five Love Languages theory introduced by Gary Chapman. This theory identifies five main love languages: Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch. From an Islamic perspective, this concept is in line with the values taught by the Al Qur'an and Hadith, especially the principles of sakinah, mawaddah and rahmah as the main pillars of the husband wife relationship.
This research aims to analyze the suitability of the Five Love Languages theory with Islamic family law and identify practical strategies for implementing love languages in Muslim household life. This study shows that each love language has relevance to Islamic teachings, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad in his relationship with his wives. The research results also confirm that the effective application of the language of love can increase household harmony and resilience, as well as being a tool for preventing conflict through communication full of empathy and emotional understanding.
By integrating the Five Love Languages theory into Islamic principles, Muslim families can build relationships that are stronger, happier, and in accordance with sharia guidelines. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of communication strategies that support the goals of marriage in Islam.
