PENERAPAN METODE MAKE A MATCH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA KELAS IV PADA MATERI MENYAMBUT USIA BALIGH MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DAN BUDI PEKERTI DI SDN 2 LOLOAN TIMUR

Abstract

The subject of Islamic Religious Education and Character is one of subject that must be taught at all levels of education. It is very important subject for students because it helps students to grow and to develop Islamic beliefs and instill Islamic values ​​well. There is one practical obstacle in learning it, namely the difficulty of students in understanding the lesson and the monotony of the learning methods applied by the teacher. This research aims to increase students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education and Character subject with material on welcoming puberty in class IV at SDN 2 Loloan Timur. One of the methods used to make it easier and attract students' attention is the Make a Match method. In its application, this method contains colored cards so that they are attractive and easy for students to accept. Based on the research results, it can be seen that by using the Make a Match learning method, the understanding of class IV students at SDN 2 Loloan Timur with material about welcoming puberty has increased from initial learning to cycle II, with the average score of students' comprehension tests in initial learning being 71. 27 and in the first cycle comprehension test it was 88 and in the second cycle the average score was 93.18 with a percentage of student completion level at the start of learning of 36.36%, in the first cycle it was 72.72% and in the second cycle it was 100%. From the results of this action research, it can be concluded that the use of the Make a Match learning method with material about welcoming puberty in class IV at SDN 2 Loloan Timur can improve students' understanding of the subject of Islamic Religious Education and Character.
