The globalization era is marked by developments in all fields that are quality-oriented, which requires all parts to continuously improve their competence. This also has an impact on the education world which is always developing following demands in efforts to improve quality. Indonesia is not a religious country but it is also not a secular country. The government continues to view religion as occupying the most important position in this country as a source of values in behavior. Therefore, the government pays great attention to religious education both in public schools and in Islamic educational institutions. Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia consist of formal and non-formal institutions. Formal Islamic institutions include Islamic elementary school, Islamic junior high school, Islamic senior high school, to universities such as the state Islamic collage/the private Islamic collage, the state Islamic Institute/ the private Islamic Institute, and the state Islamic University/ the private Islamic University. Non-formal Islamic institutions such as Islamic boarding schools, TPQ, Madrasah Diniyah, and so on. Madrasah Diniyah (Diniyah Taklimiyah) are Islamic educational institutions that provide classical education and teaching regarding Islamic religious knowledge for students aged 7 to 19 years. However, there are many problems faced by educational institutions, both formal and non-formal. In general, the problems faced by educational institutions include; (1) madrasah administration that has not been properly improved; (2) weak madrasah team working; (3) lack of completeness of madrasah archives; (4) lack of community participation; (5) lack of learning facilities and equipment in the classroom; (6) low level of human resources; and (7) other matters that can encourage the progress of Islamic educational institutions. Seeing the current reality, where Islamic Education institutions are still unable to meet the expectations of society and are still unable to face the challenges and demands of the times, there is still a great need to improve the quality of Islamic education institutions in accordance with the functions and objectives of national education. contained in Law no. 20 of 2003 (National Education System, article 3).
