The discourse on the relationship between syari'at, Fiqh, Qowaid Ushuliyyah and Qowaid
Fiqhiyah in Islamic Law has been going on for quite some time. With increasingly complex
developments, it does not only concern the relationship between Islamic law and science, but also
between Islam and all modern knowledge along with its methodological tools and premises. The task
of Islamic law, through syari'at, fiqh, Qowaid Ushuliyyah and Qowaid Fiqhiyah is to return knowledge
to its origins. Syara’ law is the essence (tsamrat) of the science of fiqh and ushûl al-fiqh. The goals of
these two disciplines are both to know the syara` law related to the actions of mukallaf, but their
perspectives are different. Ushûl al-Fiqh reviews syara` law in terms of methodology and its sources,
while the science of fiqh reviews it from the perspective of exploring the law. The alternative paradigm
in the development of Ushul Fiqh and its impact on Contemporary Fiqh explains that the
epistemology of classical uṣhūl al fiqh is a literalistic paradigm. Therefore, the classical uṣhūl al fiqh
epistemology is included in the realm of bayani epistemology. Meanwhile, modern uṣhūl al fiqh is the
reality of the modern world. This epistemology is included in the burhani epistemology area. This
article is focused on the study of interconnection & interrelation between Syari'at, Fiqh, Qowaid
Ushuliyyah and Qowaid Fiqhiyah in Islamic Law. Starting with studying Syari'at as a source of
Islamic Law, Fiqh as a product of Islamic Law, Qowaid Ushuliyyah and Qowaid Fiqhiyah as a
methodology of Istinbath al-Ahkam, concept of interrelation in Islamic Law thought, and closed with
interrelation of Syari'at, Fiqh, Qowaid Ushuliyyah and Qowaid Fiqhiyah in Islamic Law.
