This article aims to describe and analyze Conflict Management in
Islamic Elementary Education Institutions, namely conflict management is the
ability to control conflicts that occur, which require certain management skills.
In Islam conflict is not a goal but a means to unite various conflicting things to
free human life from individual interests and vices so that then they can be
brought to the right path. The conflict stems from errors in communication or
distortion, organizational structure, and human factors. Conflict will be
beneficial if managed properly, but can be detrimental if left unchecked. It is
better for managers of Islamic basic education institutions to be able to resolve
conflicts when they are just entering the first stage, namely the latent stage
which is still in the form of differences due to individual, organizational, and
environmental factors. That way, conflicts can be contained as soon as possible
so that they are still relatively easy to resolve. Resolution at this stage of
difference, although not preventive, is a quick response solution that has a
significant effect on suppressing the occurrence of real conflicts, especially in the
Islamic Elementary Education Institution.
