Abstract

This study aims to examine an innovative management model for English language learning based on pesantren (Islamic boarding school) values in madrasah, integrating linguistic competence with Islamic character formation. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method using conceptual analysis and theoretical synthesis from relevant literature. The findings reveal that the innovative management model consists of four key dimensions: value-based planning, collaborative implementation, participatory supervision, and comprehensive evaluation. Pesantren values such as sincerity (ikhlas), discipline (intizham), brotherhood (ukhuwah), and trustworthiness (amanah) serve as fundamental principles guiding the learning process. The integration of these values not only enhances the effectiveness of English language learning but also fosters a religious and character-based academic culture. This study contributes to modifying conventional management theories into a more holistic and transformative model aligned with the goals of Islamic education. Therefore, this model can serve as a strategic reference for developing curricula and implementing English language teaching practices in pesantren-based madrasah.
