Abstract

This article examines the role of e-governance in improving the quality of Islamic education management using a library research approach. The study reviews various scholarly sources to describe the concepts, practices, and challenges of implementing digital governance in Islamic educational institutions. The analysis shows that e-governance enhances transparency, efficiency, and service quality through the integration of digital academic information systems, online administrative services, and electronic quality assurance mechanisms. Successful implementation is influenced by leadership commitment, adequate infrastructure, policy support, and continuous human resource development. However, obstacles remain, including limited funding, technological literacy gaps, and regulatory adaptation. The findings affirm that e-governance is not merely a technological innovation but also a managerial strategy that strengthens accountability, improves decision-making quality, and ensures the sustainability of quality management in Islamic education. This study provides theoretical foundations and practical recommendations for managers and policymakers to optimize digital governance.
