Abstract

Leadership is an important force in the context of organizational management, as well as in the world of education it is very important when visionary leadership strategies can be implemented and run well and with quality. Therefore, the ability to lead effectively is the key to success in leading a school. This research is a type of library research, namely research whose object of study uses library data in the form of books as a data source and also various research articles and journals. From the research, it can be concluded that the principal must have the character of an agent of change, where the principal is the central point for realizing the vision and mission of the school with the various increasingly complex demands of the times. Commitment, consistency, cooperation and competence are very basic things that must always be maintained and implemented continuously. With this, it is hoped that there will be no internal problems that arise due to debate over issues that have been decided together. Apart from that, it is to increase mutual trust so that it is always maintained for the running of the school system in harmony. Leaders must also have the ability to understand the psychology of their subordinate teachers, and be able to communicate well, and be able to solve existing problems as quickly as possible, and make appropriate and high-quality decisions. Innovate to always improve the quality of schools with various ways and methods so that various changes will soon be realized in order to face globalization which will become increasingly visible in the future.
