Urgensi Telaah Sejarah Peradaban Islam Memasuki Era Revolusi Industri 4.0

Abstract

The glory of a country, city or region can be known through its civilization. In the period of history the civilization of human life in the world will continue to grow and develop. The main factor in the development of a civilization is the human being, as the creator of the Creator. It is human’s reason that distinguishes it from other creatures of God (animals, plants, etc.). However, a civilization that is not accompanied by faith and piety to God Almighty will make the creator of civilization in a country destroyed. History as a story is the result of the reconstruction of historians who have differing interpretations even in the discussion of the same problem. The history of Islamic civilization relates to the knowledge of the initial process until the development or progressof a city-state through religion brought by the Holly Prophet Muhammad to the goal of the end of an event. The event referred to here is the end of time, because every civilization has a final period so it is very closed related to the importance of examining the history of Islamic civilization entering the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Furthermore, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is a trend in the industrial world that combines automation technology with cyber technology. In the era of industrial revolution 4.0, manufacturing technology has entered the trend of data automation and exchange. These include cyber-physical systems, internet of things (IOT), cloud computing, and cognitive computing. This trend has changed many areas of human life, including education, economy, world of work, even the human lifestyle itself which is certainly very influential on human civilization in that era. In short, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 instills intelligent technology that can connect with various fields of human life.
