Abstract

The teacher is an important element in education. On a larger scale, teachers prepare and develop human resources (HR), as well as for the welfare of society, advancing the nation and the state. In any case the teacher must remain enthusiastic. To achieve good educational goals, it is necessary to adjust the focus of work towards professionalism rather than personal matters that have no relevance to the success of the school organization.Thus it can be described that one of the concrete efforts to encourage the improvement of the quality of good graduates is to foster and increase the work motivation of teachers, in addition to increasing their education and skills so that they are able to carry out their duties and jobs as well as possible. In an organization, it will not be able to achieve a common goal if one of its elements experiences difficulties or does not have the drive to achieve something they want, the urge must always be there, either from within or from outside.However, to do a good job, a teacher should come from within himself. However, this encouragement can be stimulated from outside the teacher. The existence of efforts to develop motivation by a teacher should be rewarded for his creativity, because the award itself includes a form of encouragement that comes from outside the teacher to do the job better, so as to improve the quality of graduates. The drive or motivation to carry out the work will appear if the work being done is felt to have a positive value for the teacher himself. This is of course related to the fulfillment of needs. The desire to meet these needs is the force that drives teachers to work well.
