Pelatihan Pembuatan Video Animasi Cut Out untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Digital Santri di Pondok Pesantren

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has changed the method of da'wah and character education in Pesantren. This is not balanced with the adequate mastery of digital competencies among students, especially in the field of multimedia content production. This gap is crucial considering the strong flow of negative information in the digital space. This Community Service activity aims to provide basic knowledge train technical skills in making cut-out animation videos and develop the capacity of students in da'wah and character building.  The activity was held in the PPHM Sunan Gunung Jati Tulungagung, involving 30 students as participants. The mentoring method used was active and continuous participatory, including the preparation stage, preparation of training, and implementation of training through a combination of lecture methods, question and answer, and simulation, direct practice in three production stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm from the participants as reflected in the level of active participation, positive responses to the material, and the success of all participant groups in producing cut-out animated video products containing positive messages and nuances of da'wah. This activity made a real contribution to improving digital literacy and life skills of students, while also opening up opportunities for the development of digital da'wah that is more creative and relevant to the needs of the times. The recommendations for the sustainability of the program include the need for continued mentoring, the provision of adequate production facilities, and the integration of multimedia skills into the non-formal curriculum of Pesantren.
