GREEN EDUCATION MANAGEMENT: STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN SEKOLAH RAMAH LINGKUNGAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF ISLAM
Abstract
This study aims to examine strategies for managing environmentally friendly schools (Green education) from an Islamic perspective through a library research approach. The growing environmental crisis demands the education sector to actively shape environmentally conscious generations. Islamic education inherently holds noble values concerning environmental responsibility, as reflected in the Qur'an and Hadith. This study reveals that the concept of green education in Islam is not merely symbolic, but encompasses strategic management principles based on values of tauhid (monotheism), trust (amanah), and public benefit (maslahah). Applicable strategies include green facility management, environmental curriculum integration, and the development of a clean school culture. Therefore, Islamic education management has the potential to serve as a comprehensive and transformative model for eco-conscious school governance.
