Abstract

Vision and mission are fundamental components in the education system that serve as strategic compasses for the direction and development of educational institutions. A vision illustrates the ideal goals and future identity of the institution, while the mission outlines concrete steps to achieve it. This paper discusses the definitions of educational vision and mission, the characteristics of effective vision and mission statements, and their urgency in shaping sustainable educational quality. Through clear, realistic, and adaptive vision and mission statements, educational institutions can create strategic direction, align with global challenges, and realize national education goals. The findings indicate that the success of educational institutions greatly depends on how well the vision and mission are internalized and implemented consistently by all members of the school community.
