Abstract

This paper tries to reveal the ideal educator of today according to Al Gozali's thoughts. Educators themselves are a means for students to improve their abilities and explore their various potentials; therefore, the role of educators is very important in the learning process because success or failure in the educational process depends on an educator's ability to convey subject matter. In this study, using the method of literature (library research), While the method of collecting data is obtained from notes, journals, books, and so on. The data itself is in the form of notes or written data. While the analysis or research is obtained from the content. The results of this study show that ideal educators must understand and live their profession, and of course, teachers who have insight, knowledge, and skills will be able to make the learning process active and create an atmosphere of innovative, creative, and fun learning. An educator must also have several criteria, including that the teacher must provide exemplary rather than advice; the educator must be fond of reading so that his knowledge continues to increase and is not left behind; as a teacher today, the teacher must also write papers in the form of class action research so that he can rise in rank; and the last criterion is that teachers are also required to master computer technology so that they are not outdated.
