The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant transformations to the world of education, particularly in the learning process. This systematic review aims to map, analyze, and synthesize empirical evidence from recent research on the forms of AI utilization in learning, its impact on student motivation and learning outcomes, the role of AI in supporting teachers' pedagogical tasks, and the ethical and implementation challenges that arise. Results indicate that AI is widely used for personalized learning, automated assessment, and administrative support for teachers. Empirical evidence points to improvements in intrinsic motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes across various educational levels when AI is appropriately integrated. However, several critical challenges are identified, including data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, academic integrity issues, and over-reliance on technology. This review concludes that the effectiveness of AI in learning is highly dependent on sound pedagogical design, teachers' and students' digital competencies, and a robust ethical framework. AI is most effective when positioned as a partner that enhances, rather than replaces, the human role in the teaching-learning process
