This study was motivated by the low level of science literacy among students and the suboptimal management of Basic Natural Sciences (BNS) teaching integrated with Islamic values. The aim of this study is to analyse and formulate a model for the management of Basic Natural Sciences teaching based on Nusantara Islamic values to improve students’ science literacy. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research, through the analysis of various relevant literature sources, including books and scientific journals. Data analysis techniques include content analysis and conceptual synthesis. The results of the study indicate that learning management based on the functions of planning, organising, executing, and controlling (POAC) makes a significant contribution to improving students’ science literacy. This contribution encompasses three main aspects: a more systematic understanding of concepts, the development of scientific thinking skills through a scientific approach, and enhanced contextual application skills through the integration of Nusantara Islamic values. Furthermore, Nusantara Islamic values such as moderation, balance, and contextuality play a role in shaping the ethical dimension and character of students in science learning. This study produced a conceptual model of IAD learning management based on Nusantara Islamic values, comprising input components (values and materials), process (POAC-based learning management functions), and output (students’ scientific literacy). This model is implementable and can serve as a reference for the development of integrative, systematic, and value-based science learning in higher education.
