PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER, KONSEP DAN APLIKASINYA PADA SEKOLAH BERBASIS AGAMA ISLAM
Abstract
Character education is now a major issue of education. In addition to being part of the process of moral formation of the nation, this character education is expected to be the main foundation in improving the degree and dignity of the Indonesian nation. Character formation begins with the nature of God's gift, which is then patterned into identity and behavior. In the process itself nature nature is greatly influenced by environmental circumstances both the family and the surrounding community, seeing this reality every school and community must have the discipline and habits about the character to be formed. Leaders and community leaders should also be able to provide an example of the character to be formed.Concepts and applications planned by Islamic educational institutions will have a very urgent effect. The institution should be able to implement some principles of character education development in Islamic schools based on sustainability, through all subjects, self-development and school culture, values not taught but developed, character education processes performed by learners actively and fun. Thus the development of character education can be through subjects (integrated), self-development activities and school culture.
